Welcome! My name is Kristie Cross and I live in north central Missouri with my husband and 4 children. For the past year,
I have been trying to find a way to give back to society. Then it occurred to me - I can knit! I contacted several shelters
and soup kitchens nationwide to inquire if they had a need for hand knitted hats and scarves. The response has been overwhelming!
There is a need and it's HUGE!! I have more requests than I can possibly handle on my own and am trying to recruit some help.
I just don't have the heart to tell any of the shelters that I can't help them.
Here's how it works: You email me and
make a pledge to make a certain number of hats and/or scarves. This number can be as small or as large as your schedule allows.
Every item will make a difference in someone's life! I need to receive all of the knitted items by September 1st, 2006. Once
I receive your items, I will forward them to a shelter on our list and also send you notification of which shelter your items
helped.
PLEASE consider helping me with this very important project - I can't possibly do it without you. I am knitting
every available second but I can only do so much!
